Sunetra Sarker



Sunetra Sarker is a multi talented actress and TV personality with a specific interest in self care, a regular on Loose Women amongst a host of other TV shows.

Sunetra first came to prominence playing Nisha Batra in Channel Four’s cult soap Brookside.

Over the ensuing three decades she has become a BAFTA member and a stalwart of British television appearing in regular roles in No Angels for Channel Four, Informer for BBC/Amazon Prime, Safe House for ITV and as Dr Zoe Hanna in BBC 1’s Casualty for nearly a decade. 

She starred in the second series of ITV's hit show, The Bay. Sunetra has won much praise for her pioneering role of Kaneez in Channel Four’s hit drama, Ackley Bridge, and starred opposite Amanda Abbington in Channel 5’s Desperate Measures.

Beyond her acting work, Sunetra took part in the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing and became a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women. 

She has appeared on Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip and Who Do You Think You Are? for the BBC, as well as Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox and countless gameshows, including Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Catchphrase, The Chase: Celebrity Special, and Richard Osman’s House of Games. 

Sunetra featured on theTV series "Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig" for Channel 4.

She has her own podcast series, Self Care With Sunetra, a personal journey of self-care discovery, in partnership with wellness app Leafyard.
