Sarah Roberts

Sarah Roberts is an Animal Behaviourist and eco journalist who works alongside the world's experts at the frontline of nature and conservation.

She has experienced some of the coolest and most dangerous wildlife species around the world, from her job as a grizzly bear guide in the Great Bear Rainforest in Canada, to getting bitten by a shark on a deserted island with no doctor!

Sarah loves adventure and is passionate about protecting the future of wild places and their inhabitants. She began writing stories as part of her outreach project, to find engaging ways to help people understand more about big environmental issues.

Sarah's first children's picture book 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley', has been published in over 10 different languages and even more countries. It was read by actor Tom Hardy on Cbeebies Bedtime Stories. Stanley's adventures have been used to help children from all over the world to understand the environmental threats posed by plastic pollution.

The second book in the series was illustrated by Hannah Jayne Peck and published in 2022. The book was partnered with Keep Britain Tidy's Great Big School Clean and read by her in Parliament. It was selected by Waterstones as one of the best books of 2022 in the 'Babies and Toddler' category.
Colin is no ordinary flower. Colin smells appealing - just like the other flowers around him. The only trouble is, he crackles and crunches and flutters in the wind. He can't seem to find where he belongs, but he smells so delicious that all the animals want to eat him... But Colin is a crisp packet!
