Professor Tom Fletcher CMG is the former British Ambassador to Lebanon (2011-15), currently based at New York University.
He is an Honorary Fellow of Oxford University, and the Global Strategy Director for the Global Business Coalition for Education, which seeks to harness private sector efforts to get 59 million children into school. He is the author of the 'Naked Diplomat' blog, and his book on the future of power and diplomacy is being published by Harper Collins in Spring 2016.
Tom was the foreign policy adviser to Prime Ministers Blair, Brown and Cameron from 2007-11, and previously served as a diplomat in Africa, Europe and the US. He is married to Dr Louise Fletcher, a psychotherapist, and they have two sons.
Tom lives between Abu Dhabi, New York and Ireland and enjoys mountains, cricket and history.
