Pierre Novellie is a stand-up comedian, writer, radio host and podcaster. He co-hosts the podcasts Frank Off The Radio with Frank Skinner and Budpod with Phil Wang.
Pierre's TV appearances include World’s Most Dangerous Roads (Dave), The Mash Report (BBC2), and Stand Up Central (Comedy Central).
On the radio, Pierre has performed on The Now Show (Radio 4) and hosted the BBC Sounds podcast series Obsessed With… SAS: Rogue Heroes.
Pierre was one of the regular writers on the reboot of Spitting Image (ITV/Britbox) and has also written for shows like Mock the Week (BBC2), The News Quiz (Radio 4) and The Mash Report (BBC2).
Pierre‘s latest live show Must We? saw a sold-out run at the Monkey Barrel at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and was his fourth show to have been placed in the top 20 best-reviewed comedy shows across the entire festival.
He has released two comedy specials, Quiet Ones and Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? via US comedy label 800 Pound Gorilla Records which have amassed over half a million views online. Pierre has also supported Phil Wang as well as Frank Skinner on his nationwide tour and five-week West End run at the Garrick Theatre.
Pierre’s first book Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things?: A Comedian’s Guide to Autism was published by Bonnier in 2024. It is loosely based on his 2022 stand-up show of the same title which described how he took a test for the condition after a neurodiverse heckler suggested he had ASD.
He has experience performing after-dinner sets at corporate events as well as hosting awards ceremonies and is universally appreciated by corporate crowds with his friendly, relatable style. Separately he speaks very openly on his late ASD diagnosis and the questions it answered about his life up until that point.
