Matt is a former England international footballer, who spent 19 years playing professional football at the highest level, including in the Premier League with West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers having started out at Gillingham (he'd originally been dropped at 17, but fought his way back into senior football).
Stints at Norwich, and finally Woking goes to show his passion for the game; by his own admission, if it wasn't for injury, he'd still be playing now, even if it was just Sunday league or a pub side!
As an international footballer, Matthew´s career was built on more than just ability, it was about consistency, resilience, and finding a way to perform under pressure, year after year.
He experienced the highs of elite sport, but also the challenges that came with it, injuries, setbacks, competition, and the constant demand to improve and adapt.
Those experiences shaped how he sees performance, not just in sport, but in any environment where expectations are high and pressure is constant.
Today, He works as a keynote speaker, sharing what he has learned from nearly two decades in elite football and translating that into practical insights for businesses and teams. He has also supplied punditry to Sky Sports and BT Sport and is a regular at West Ham's hospitality section.
