David Harewood

David is a renowned actor, having found success on both sides of the Atlantic on the stage, small and big screen; a respected campaigner on racial issues.

He has played the role of William F Buckley Jr in BEST OF ENEMIES, which transferred to the Noel Coward Theatre after a hugely successful run at the Young Vic.

He recently played himself in the hit Amazon Prime series TEN PERCENT. Other SCREEN credits include; J'onn J'onnz in SUPERGIRL, Equiano Hampton in THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, Walter Sisulu in MADIBA, David Estes in HOMELAND, Sam Sapersein in SELFIE and Captain Poison in BLOOD DIAMOND among many others.

He is also an incredibly moving speaker who talks about discovering his family history  (he is descended from slaves), and getting to know Lord Lascelles, the Earl of Harewood, whose ancestors owned David's ancestors - he had visited Harewood house as a child, and had assumed the name was just a coincidence.
