Alex Depledge

Alex Depledge is a leading female tech entrepreneur with a successful track record in start-ups; a shining example of what is achievable with imagination and energy, her views are sought by all spectrums of the current political establishment

Following a successful career at Accenture, Alex Depledge took the plunge and entered the start-up world in 2012. Despite the trepidation, Alex saw huge success with her first venture Hassle.com. She raised the largest VC capital funding ever for a solely female owner business; going on to sell the business to German investors for €32m. Her success story has continued with her newest venture, Resi.co.uk, an innovative and disruptive market leader in the field of residential architecture and planning.

Alongside her entrepreneurial success, Alex sits on the board of Persimmon Homes, and is part of the Labour Party's review of business start-up funding, and the Government's taskforce on Women-led High-Growth Enterprises.

She has also won a string of awards including: Emerging Technology Scale-Up 2022 at the Enterprise Awards, The Barclay’s Entrepreneur Award for Start Up of the Year 2020, and an MBE for services to the Sharing Economy, having been a founding member of the sharing economy trade body SEUK, and contributing to the Government's independent review into the sharing economy.

Renowned for her honest and practical approach to business, Alex's keynotes look at the challenges facing established businesses and start-ups, the need for companies (of all sizes) to innovate and disrupt, and the role of women as CEO's and founders.

TESTIMONIALS

Alex Depledge was an absolute revelation opening our event. Her no-nonsense keynote speech was funny, warm, and full of practical, hard-won insights and tips. It is rare to find speakers who can genuinely combine such rich substance with such an accessible delivery style. Very happy to recommend her for other events.

Alex was absolutely the perfect kickoff for our day. I knew she'd be great but hadn't realised quite how great.
