Adam Parsons

Adam presents Wake Up To Money on 5 Live and is an occasional business presenter for BBC News and BBC World. He was Director of Communications & Public Affairs for the British Olympic Association and has also been on the board of Travelodge Hotels.
Wake Up To Money provides news and views on business and the world of personal finance while providing the very latest from the financial markets around the globe.
As a Sports Correspondent, Adam chased Martin Johnson along the beach during the Rugby World Cup, trailed around Tokyo shops in search of David Beckham, and witnessed Greg Rusedski being cleared of using drugs.
Adam was motor racing correspondent at The Sunday Times before Sunday Business offered him the job of Sports Editor. He has both raced with Damon Hill (not very successfully!) and collaborated with him on a book about racing - with more success. They are old school friends.
After covering the bid for the 2012 Olympic Games for the BBC, and with over a decade in sports journalism behind him, Adam took on the role of Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the BOA. He then moved to the position of Director of Sport Liason, a role that saw him advising and promoting British athletes and National Governing Bodies. After that, he spent a spell as Communications Director at Travelodge before returning to the BBC.
As well as a wealth of experience presenting and facilitating both business and sports related events, while on a lighter note, he has a rich fund of anecdotes to share with after dinner audiences interested in anything from business journalism to Formula One to London 2012 to what happens in TV when the cameras are off!

"Just a quick note to thank you for hosting our customer event yesterday...Your energy, humour and ability to pull everything together was tremendous and key to the overall success."
Adam hosted the Skillsoft Perspectives conference in June 2015
